Currently interning at Penerbit Erlangga

Hi, I’m Abisha — an IR and media researcher academically, and multidisciplinary creative professionally.

I like to research how media interacts with us. I also like to make communicative visual pieces through graphics, photography, and videography. Currently based in Semarang.

About Me

Hi! I am a 21 year old guy from Semarang in Indonesia. I am Javanese and I come from an Islamic background, but I am personally agnostic to a degree with interests in learning about other religions and their theologies. My family came from a political background so I am very focal about my beliefs. Politically I align with the Nordic Left and Democratic Socialism. My pronouns are he/him/his and I am a very open straight ally to all identities. I have been diagnosed formally for ADHD and I am seeking a medical diagnosis for Autism Spectrum Disorder at the moment. I am currently working on my thesis on how white supremacy can radicalise Indonesian Youth and lead to terrorism. All while also interning as a marketing communications assistant at PT. Penerbit Erlangga. I am always learning and I am motivated by my belief that a better world is possible.

I am a hard working person, I live to work and try to make the lives of myself and other better. I’ll always strive to do my best in everything. I live on a can-do attitude for any creative endeavour, it brought me to where I am today where I am able to be quite the jack of all trades in graphic design and social media work. I want to use media in a way that talks and teaches, hence why I am academically studying the intersections of politics, international relations, and media studies. I am always open to doing research or creative work for you, hit me up!

The authoritarian free lunch program a la Indonesia It’s January 6th 2025, kids and teens everywhere in Indonesia return to school. One thing is different this time around though.
